More than just a dialogue

After reading ‘Immersive Sound – The Art and Science of Binaural and Multi-Channel Audio’ by Roginska and Geluso (2018). Me and my colleagues had made a discussion in class:

It turns out that Roginska and Geluso (2018) believe that dialogue is the most important thing. However, I’m afraid I have to disagree because I watch films as a foreigner. Those components are as crucial and rely on each other as sound relies on moving images. In addition, musical heavily relies on elements like soundtracks and score. Therefore, it depends on the story’s narrative and what the director is trying to communicate to the audience. I believe when that one element is at the centre of the stage. It would still need a team to support that itself. Therefore, I will include a dialogue in my video. However, I will try and prove that it doesn’t need it throughout the video.
